INTER:FASE

“INTER:FASE” is a scenic and digital creation, where dance and technology are hybridized. An exploration of the human body interconnected with new virtual spaces. A search for choreographic innovation through the virtual body.

INTER:FASE is the connection between mediums. The intermediate space between reality and virtuality. The dramaturgy of the piece consists of a virtual journey toward the rediscovery of individuality, exploring the fragmentation of identity in our digital age. A journey through the fluidity of individuality and the embodiment of a virtual body sculpted to the measure of your desire for self-projection.

On stage, a dancer equipped with a motion capture suit and a photorealistic avatar. The dancer’s movement data is transmitted live to the avatar. The result is projected onto the stage space.

The aim of this piece is to create a choreographic language that originates in the virtual space. To shape a cyborg version of the Vitruvian man, re-measuring human movement through digital logics, with a female body and an artificial intelligence. Dance confronted with the entirety of itself and exposed to new ways of conceiving movement.
