The company
Uku’Pacha is a performing arts, audiovisual, and new technologies company committed to exploring new aesthetics that merge its passion for the performing arts with the digital world.
They seek new ways to develop dramaturgies for a world undergoing a transformation toward digitalization and virtualization. At the same time, they look for stories that engage individuals in this evolving world, making them part of this transformation. They are particularly interested in the new themes and challenges emerging from the digital era we live in.
Their creations have been premiered and presented in venues and festivals such as Danza Trayectos, Festival Z, Festival Escena Poblenou, Festival Píndoles, Cicle A prop de Girona, and Teatre Jardí de Figueres, among others. They have also developed their productions in spaces such as l’Estruch, Nau Ivanow, El Canal, LAVA Valladolid, l’Auditori Sant Martí, and La Visiva, among others.
Currently, they are a resident company at Fabra i Coats and an associate company at La Visiva.
Team
The company is formed by Ariadna Grau and Ferran Gordillo, who consider their artistic practice as a way to promote new scenic dynamics and interests of a generation that has been born with technology.
Both began as performing arts artists, and gradually have been introducing technological devices into their works.

Uku Pacha
(from quech. ukhu, interior and pacha, earth)
The mythological underworld. A timeless space where the unborn dwells, where ideas yet to be conceived, dreams, death, and all that is unknown reside.
The name resonates with the company’s conceptual work, which delves into the collective imagination, paying special attention to its darker corners and even to what is unimaginable from our epistemological perspective.
