Imaginary Sound

Imaginary Sound” is a transdisciplinary piece that emerges from the language of dance-theater to investigate the imaginary realm of sound, exploring the depth of its semantic and sensory foundations. The space where the piece unfolds is the unconscious cosmos, shaping our understanding of every sonic materialization, whether within the intelligible or the sensory domain.

And between these two planes, the performance: the mundus imaginalis, where the production and reproduction of interrelations between the real and the invisible (yet ontologically real) can become present.

The piece aims to create a speculative replica of the imagistic sphere of sound, where the patterns of imaginative creations and metaphorical hypotheses can attain a real status. Where the imaginary becomes imatginary, extracting a new visual sensitivity and unlocking the power of new images through the imaginal and creative processes of sonic imagination.
